Snacks! Legit, one of my favorite things to do is snack all throughout the day. My go-to staple (even when I’m not doing a research study), is Greek yogurt. I usually like to switch up the flavors and go with Chobani’s Key Lime flavor (😋) but today I used plain. Plain is good too because you can add as much flavor as you want to it!

Benefits of consuming yogurt:
Probiotic properties (bacteria in your gut that helps to digest the foods you eat)
Protein (not all protein comes from meat, y’all)
Calcium
Vitamin D
Zinc (helps your immune system)
Lactic acid bacteria

Benefits of consuming fruit:
Prebiotic properties (the food to feed the bacteria in your gut)
Fiber (helps make you feel satiated longer)
Vitamin C
Antioxidants (helps remove free radicals/toxins inside your cells)
Carotenoids

For my study snack Greek yogurt I used:
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 c strawberries cut in half
1/3 blueberries (drain and rinsed both the strawberries and blueberries)
Sprinkle of coconut flakes
& a handful (lol jk) a sprinkle if you may of Trader Joe’s semi-sweet chocolate nibs
Top it off with honey!
