In order not to destroy the enamel, tartar does not appear and does not torment periodontal disease, it is necessary to follow a preventive diet.
The dentist’s job is more precious than ever before. We preserve teeth that were recently mercilessly removed, restore those that were not subject to restoration yesterday, create a new shape, color, strength for them. Our institute has everything for this, as we try not to miss a single novelty. But we consider our preventive task the most important – not a single patient leaves us without recommendations.
I find that women are willing to accept recommendations regarding
- paste,
- dental elixirs,
- threads,
- brushes,
- herbs for rinsing,
But when it comes to a special diet , they listen distractedly. I think that when they are told about a diet for a beautiful figure, the reaction is different. Well, that’s female psychology.
And yet, nutritional correction is required by many – this is often indicated by the very first examination. If the enamel of several teeth is broken at once, and the woman is absolutely healthy, with a healthy heredity, the reason can be quite trivial: love for contrasting – hot and cold – food.
Many people prefer to wash down each spoonful of ice cream with a sip of hot coffee. Or the same coffee – mineral water from the refrigerator. But even if you do not alternate one with the other, but simply have an addiction to too cold or too hot food or drinks, this is also bad. No wonder they say, “even my teeth ache.”
It is no wonder that cracks gradually appear in the enamel . They also arise from the impact of solid objects or food, so nothing traumatic should be tasted “by the teeth”, especially nuts. In general, the analysis shows that usually the vulnerability of the enamel appears as a result of a whole complex of prerequisites. You need to know about them, because the next stage is caries or much more serious problems.
Up to 25 years, calcium under favorable conditions reliably strengthens the teeth, then, let it be a little, but every year it begins to be lost. This age factor must be taken into account and not to test your chewing apparatus for mechanical strength , temperature stress, and do not indulge it with soft food. It is not for nothing that in our history there has been a sharp jump in mass diseases of the teeth associated with the baking of lush white bread from extra fine flour. Bakeries are becoming more sophisticated and dentists have more work to do.
The biggest enemy of teeth is sugar . And not in pure form, not with tea, but especially in the form of caramel. Viscous candy stays in the mouth for a long time and adversely affects the enamel. The advice here is simple: when you want something sweet, make yourself a glass of fresh fruit juice, after that you won’t be attracted to the candy . And let me remind you: do not eat sweets for dessert, but better between meals.
These are the warnings, but keeping them in mind, you still need to force your teeth to work.
- After all, you can eat, for example, porridge with raw carrots, a slice of raw beets. And it is not just possible, but necessary.
- Be sure to chop the nuts, they are quite hard even without the shell.
- Make croutons soup, but don’t eat rusks.
- Be careful with dryers, for the teeth this is a very insidious food.
- And buy apples green, strong, do not peel off the peel.
Do you like fried potatoes? Try to eat at least one raw potato slice before preparing the dish, there will be vitamins A, E, group B, which are very useful for teeth. Just in case, let me remind you that this product was previously used as an antiscorbutic agent.
How you end your breakfast, lunch, or dinner is very important. At the very end, to clean your teeth, eat
- small cucumber,
- two or three radishes,
- half a carrot.
Avoid eating bananas or citrus fruits after meals. Then rinse your mouth, and ideally floss and, if possible, brush your teeth.
You should think about a special diet to strengthen your teeth after 25 years. I would recommend correcting it to the side
- milk and lactic acid products,
- cottage cheese, fruit,
- dried fruits,
- greenery,
- vegetables.
The same, but in large doses, is necessary during pregnancy and lactation, when the child “takes” calcium not only from the bone tissue, but also from the mother’s teeth. It is also necessary to strengthen the calcium-containing diet during menopause, which should be adhered to constantly, otherwise we will have to fight for every tooth in the dentist’s chair.
