A quick, simple, and healthy tofu meal 🌱The other night I made my stir fry sesame tofu and it did NOT disappoint. I love incorporating Asian flavors to enhance the overall taste of the food. Also-if you want the tofu crunchy, use corn starch so that it can add that texture to the tofu. Thank me later for that tip 😎

You’ll need:
1 block of tofu 14 oz, diced
2 C green beans, ends chopped
1 C broccoli florets
3 garlic cloves, chopped
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp canola oil
1/2 tbsp sesame oil

For the sauce:
1/4 C tamari (or low-sodium soy sauce)
2 tbsp water
2 tsp honey
1 1/2 tsp chili garlic oil (use this!!)
1/2 tsp rice wine vinegar
2 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions:
1. Place the tofu on a dish and wrap it around with a paper towel or cheese cloth to drain the excess water. Put something heavy on top like a cast-iron skillet to help with the drainage. About 30 minutes. Swap paper towels 15 minutes in.

2. Once the tofu is drained, Alice the tofu into dice or cubes and place into a large bowl. Sprinkle the tofu with the cornstarch. Gently toss with your hands to make sure all the tofu is covered.

3. In a large skillet, add the sesame and canola oil and bring it to medium-high heat.

4. Once the oil is heated up, add the garlic and let it brown. About 3 min. Then add the tofu and let it brown on both sides.

5. In the meantime, whisk together the ingredients for the sauce in a separate bowl.

6. Once the tofu is browned and crisp on all sides, add the sauce to the skillet and it should thicken immediately. Toss the tofu around and remove from heat.

Optional: you can sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish!
Other than that-enjoy!
